Timebanking Newcastle City is an innovative community programme which aims to increase social activity and community engagement in Newcastle by sharing skills, talents and knowledge.
We think all people are a essential ingredient that makes our community an energising and vibrant place to live!
Do you have a passion that you want to share? Do you want to learn something new? Or do you just need some assistance? On Timebanking there is something for everyone!
The Timebanking principle is as simple as… give an hour, receive an hour.
By giving one hour of your time to another member, you earn one hour of time, which can be used to receive services that are of personal value to you. Think of gardening, administrative assistance, language lessons, even grocery shopping or dog walking. The options are abundant; you’re only restricted by your imagination!
If you have provided a service but don’t need a service in return, you can donate all or some of your time to our community chest! By donating your time, you enable other members who can’t provide hours to receive help.
We also encourage organisations to join Timebanking and use it as a form of recognition and celebration of their volunteers and get help with a specific goal or need.
At Timebanking Newcastle we embrace diversity and make it accessible to everyone. With Timebanking we have a way to exchange our skills, spread our passions, support and empower each other!
